Bali has many dive sites and variety of its characteristic, rich of beautiful coral and colorful fishes as the most interesting part to make your dive and holiday rewarding and enjoyable.
Nusa Dua / Sanur This sites are good for divers who want to dive without traveling far. It’s suitable for people who want quick, easy dive or refresh dive skills before exploring another famous dive sites in Bali. A lot of fishes, corals grow from 3 meter slope down to max depth of 18 meters.
Tulamben ( Ship Wreck ) Tulamben is fun dive for all types of divers. 2 hours 45 minutes drives by car from Nusa Dua to Tulamben, and you’ll do beach entry dive because the ship is about 40 meters from the beach. This is American Cargo ship built in 1915 and torpedoed by Japanese submarine on January 11, 1942. It sank on sand floor at depth of 5 meters and slope down to max depth of 35 meters. Now it has an abundance of coral, sponges, gorgonian and a wide array tame and friendly fish. Night diving on the shipwreck is very popular.
Amed. 2 hours 45 minutes drive from Nusa Dua to the east of Bali then 5 minutes by boat to dive site, corals grow from 2 meters slope down to 30 meters, some grow on wall down to 50 meters. Napoleon wrasses, Reef sharks often see here.
Gili Tepekong ( Shark Point ) 1 hour 15 minutes drive from Nusa Dua to the east of Bali than 20 minutes by boat to small island called Gili Tepekong. It’s only in this point most chance to see sharks in Bali. The coral wall as steep, the water is cold, and the current can be strong. Drifting through the canyon offers an unforgettable underwater experience. Water visibility about 15 – 25 meters, coral grow from 3 meters slop down to 30 meters. Some corals grow on wall down to 50 meters. Nusa penida / Lembongan / Manta Point. Nusa Penida / Lembongan is a small of coast of Bali. It’s contains variety of suitable to the divers skill and objectives. The drift diving is particularly recommended to see some of best marine life in Bali. One dive stars is a bat cave then ends in a fast drift dive. A definite must see.
Menjangan Menjangan is a small island of the coast of Bali, on the northwest side that I reserved as a National park. This island has many different points to dive from depending on the skill and objectives. One site includes a bed of sea snakes and resident sharks.
